Meet The Philly Temps & Perm Employee of the Month for September 2024 - Sarah I.

Meet Sarah I., our September Employee of the Month! Her dedication, work ethic, and positive energy have made a lasting impact on the team. Outside of work, Sarah channels her creativity into her hobby of stained glass making, a craft that reflects her precision and artistic vision. Just as she carefully pieces together beautiful stained glass designs, Sarah brings the same attention to detail and craftsmanship to her role every day.

Philly Temps (PT): How long have you lived in the Philadelphia, PA area?

SI: I moved to Philadelphia in 2015, and I’ve loved the city ever since.  

PT: What was your work experience prior to working with Philly Temps?  

SI: I graduated from Temple University with a degree in Political Science and I have about ten years of experience in administrative and clerical roles.

PT:  How did you hear about Philly Temps? 

SI: Philly Temps was highly recommended on google and Indeed.

PT:  Please share your most memorable experience working for Philly Temps.   

SI: My current placement has been fantastic. The work is interesting, my coworkers are wonderful, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their team.

PT:  Do you have a favorite local place to shop / visit? 

SI:  Philadelphia has world class gardens- Bartram’s, Chanticleer, Morris, Awbury, and so many more. I love taking time to walk through them.

PT:  What are your hobbies and interests outside of Philly Temps?

SI: I run a stained glass business with my best friend, and we regularly sell our creations at local fairs and markets. I’m also an elected committee person in Philadelphia’s 21st ward.  Check out Sarah’s Instagram for her stained glass business at this link!

PT:  What are your long-term career goals?  

SI: I would like to grow my stained glass business and take on students. I’m also interested in returning to school to pursue a degree in Law.

 PT:  What advice can you give to prospective candidates that want to work with Philly Temps? 

SI: Take pride in your work and see your assignments as opportunities to learn and grow professionally.
