Meet The Philly Temps & Perm Employee of the Month for October2024 - Alexander S.

Starting a career after graduation does not have to be intimidating. Especially if you have had been able to use your education to your advantage before you have completed it. Case in point; The Philly Temps & Perm Employee of the Month for October 2024, Alexander S.

Before Alex earned his B.S. in Music Industry, he began freelancing as an Audio Engineer gaining much coveted practical experience in a competitive industry. That experience as well as a Minor in Business Administration enabled him to apply for and excel at a variety of jobs.

Alex has been able to earn a degree, earn a living and earn the respect of all who have worked with him by simply writing his own soundtrack to life.

Philly Temps is glad to be part of the score and we thank Alex for the great job he does.

Philly Temps (PT): Thank you for agreeing to be our Employee of the Month.

Alexander S. (AS) This is great news, thank you so much for selecting me. You guys have been super helpful and fast in finding me a position and I appreciate everything you have done.

PT: How long have you lived in the Philadelphia, PA area?

AS: I’ve lived in Philadelphia for about 6 years now.

PT: What was your work experience prior to working with Philly Temps?  

AS: I had some experience in sales roles and personal business ownership — but I have only been out of college for 2 years, so I haven’t had much experience since graduation.

PT:  How did you hear about Philly Temps? 

AS: I discovered Philly Temps through online research. I was looking for which agencies were successful in Philadelphia and Philly Temps was one of the first search results.

PT:  Please share your most memorable experience working for Philly Temps.   

AS: My most memorable moment was getting my first interview within the first week of signing on! It went smoothly and I felt very prepared for it because of Alexis’ help and guidance.

PT:  Do you have a favorite local place to shop / visit? 

AS:  I love Slices Pizza in East Falls and I am in there more frequently than I would like to admit — their Philly cheesesteak hoagies are incredible.

PT:  What are your hobbies and interests outside of Philly Temps?

AS: Outside of work, I am a musician and record producer. I spend the majority of my time outside of work producing for small, medium, and major label recording artists. I also play shows and tour the US once or twice a year.

PT:  What are your long-term career goals?  

AS: My long term career goals are to move up in my current job while also building my own music production company. It would be really nice to work my way up in my day job and also build something on the side that I can be proud of.

 PT:  What advice can you give to prospective candidates that want to work with Philly Temps? 

AS: The best advice I would give to another temp would be to always put your best foot forward and do the best work you can do. Good things will come if you are kind, stay the course, and work hard.
