March 2025 Employee of the Month!
Meet Ted W., the March Employee of the Month!
Focusing on the destination, not the route:
Many people focus on the next step in their career, which can sometimes lead to missed opportunities. With a focus on where you’re headed, the journey itself will fall into place. That is how Ted W. looks at his career and Philly Temps is proud to be part of his journey.
Ted recognizes the importance of earning your place in a desired field. Taking on jobs that may seem far way from the goal, but have elements required. Detailing what he’s done with a focus on how it can propel him forward is a talent that has kept him going.
A background in hospitality taught Ted that listening, learning and absorbing details is important and that customer service skills should be applied with every interaction.
Ted treats everyone with respect and an open mind, and that makes people want to be part of his journey.
Philly Temps is proud to shine a spotlight on Ted and we are excited to be part of journey.

Ted W. (TW) ): I'm a native, I was born and raised in Philadelphia..
PT: What was your work experience prior to working with Philly Temps?
TW: Prior to working with Philly Temps I worked in the hospitality & catering industry and eventually moved into administration and operations work.
PT: Please share your most memorable experience working for Philly Temps.
TW: My most memorable experience was how Philly Temps placed me in both my current roles. I applied for a part-time position the night before and got a call back the next day and started the same week. Following that whirlwind, they were able to place me in another part-time role that allowed me to have full-time working hours between 2 jobs and the best part is I was taking a break from my job hunt when I got the call.
PT: Do you have a favorite local place to shop / visit?
TW: My favorite places to shop are Uniqlo, anywhere that has a Taro bubble tea, and the Philadelphia Art Museum.
PT: What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
TW: Outside of work, my hobbies range from cooking, playing video games, and hiking.
PT: What are your long-term career goals?
TW: Long-term I'd like to get my CPA and continue gaining accounting experience. Right now I'm pursuing my degree at the Community College of Philadelphia trying to make that a reality.
PT: What advice can you give to prospective candidates that want to work with Philly Temps?
TW: I come from the gig world and leveraged that into a desk job, sometimes having 2-4 roles at a time to get me to the finish line. Some advice I would give is to build a resume that reflects where you're trying to go for your next job. Find a role, no matter the size, to fill the gap in your experience to connect you to the next opportunity.
