Employee of the Month - April 2016

We are excited to announce Our Employee of the Month for April, 2016 is Martin Alexion.

Because of Martin’s customer service background, most of his experience at Philly Temps has been working at Conventions and Events throughout the City and beyond -- and he has performed each task assigned him with a professionalism and equanimity that is all too rarely seen. After experiencing this, we realized that Martin would also be an asset to our clients seeking administrative and clerical assistance.

There are numerous reasons why many of the clients who have worked with Martin request him by name when they return to Philadelphia. His ability to learn new things quickly, his flexibility, and the fact that he is multi-lingual are just a few.

Martin has a combination of youthful exuberance and sagacious wisdom which makes him a favorite with his coworkers as well as an ideal choice for Employee of the Month.

We recently sat down with Martin and tried to get to know him a little better.

Philly Temps (PT): Martin, congratulations on being Employee of the Month.

Martin Alexion (MA): I am honored to be the April Employee of the Month

PT:  How long have you lived in the Philadelphia, PA area?

MA: Almost my whole life, except for a brief time in Germany.

PT: What is your previous work experience?

MA:  Before working at Philly Temps, I worked at a few different coffee shops, Philly Pretzel Factory and I worked in the box office at a couple of concert venues. I also briefly was a mailman.

PT: How did you hear about Philly Temps?

MA: I saw a sign outside the office on Walnut St before the Drexel move-in a little over 2 years ago.

PT: What has your experience as a temp been like thus far?

MA: Philly Temps is tons of fun.

PT: Please share your most memorable experience working for Philly Temps?

MA: I have a lot of great memories, but I love wearing the giant shorts and being outside every year for the student move ins. (PT: Martin has helped us with 5 of them)

PT: What are your long term career goals?

MA: Hopefully the assignment I'm working at now will offer me a permanent position. My dream job though would probably involve riding elephants around in some jungle somewhere, maybe taking pictures of monkeys or something unrealistic like that.

PT: What is your life like outside of work? What are your hobbies? Are you involved in your community?

MA: I spend a lot of time in the outdoors, hiking, I do a lot of photography stuff. And I've got a cat and a dog at home too.Thank you Martin for doing such a great job!!!
