Employee of the Month Carol Torrico
Join us in congratulating Carol Torrico on being our Employee Of The Month for May 2015.
Arlington Virginia, Washington D.C and Turks & Caicos are just some of the places that Carol has worked before coming to Philadelphia and joining Philly Temps in January. Carol brings with her a wealth of experience including teaching elementary school and working in human resources. One gets the impression that there is no field in which she would not excel. Carol's smile both exudes and invites kindness. Her calm and pleasant demeanor, as well as her exemplary work ethic are some of the reasons we have chosen her as the Employee Of The Month for May 2015.
We recently sat down with Carol to get to know her a little better.
Congratulations on being The Employee Of The Month for May 2015
Philly Temps (PT): How long have you lived in the Philadelphia, PA area?
Carol Torrico (CT): Exactly one year, since May 2014.
PT: How did you hear about Philly Temps?
CT: I did a Google search online.
PT: What has your experience as a temp been like thus far?
CT: Very smooth and convenient. I was placed on assignment quickly based on my limited availability. The office procedures at Philly Temps have been simple and easy to sign up. The staff is also friendly and helpful.
PT: Please share your most memorable experience working for Philly Temps?
CT: The response time of staff is very efficient when communicating about the assignment. Alexa has been able to let me know when there is an office closing, and able to co-ordinate my coverage if I am absent in a quick, and timely fashion.
PT: What is your previous work experience?
CT: I was a HR Manager at a Lobbying firm in Washington, DC and then went into teaching.
PT: What are your long term career goals?
CT: None for now.
PT: What is your life like outside of work? What are your hobbies? Are you involved in your community?
CT: Now that the weather is nice, I enjoy running on the Schuylkill River Trail and playing volleyball. I spend most of my time serving the needs of my parish at, St. Charles Borromeo, as a catholic, lay missionary. Our activities range from cooking and serving for those in need; helping families with numerous children with homework to assisting families coming from afar to attend the World Meeting of Families in September. Every day is a different adventure.
